Does anyone have any recommendations for Home Emergency Assistance insurance? I had a policy with "Home Emergency Assist" and they went out of business. I then tried "Row" who were in the "Which" top-10, who merged with "Big Warranties". They offer all the cover I want: roofing, plumbing, drains, pests, boiler, electrics, security (keys, windows) and overnight accommodation ... it's just that every time I call them out it turns out there's an "exclusion". The last straw was they refused to come out to my tenants when the boiler stopped working a couple of weeks ago when the temperature was down at -6. Their excuse? "We don't provide emergency callout for boilers under warranty"! What?! My boiler is under warranty for 7 years! I've looked at the British Gas homecare policy but they don't appear to cover some of the above including roofing, security and pests. Has anybody had a good experience with a home emergency insurance company?
