Our tenant has reported us to the local Welsh Authority who intend to undertake a formal inspection for fitness etc. Standards. The tenant has refused our agent access to evaluate issues and to enable a claim to be submitted to our insurers in respect of damage arising from flooding by a blocked drain. Do we have the right to request the council defer the inspection until such time as the agent has gained access? Our agent has been unable to gain access for any periodic inspections due to Covid regulations since the tenancy commenced in May 2020.
