Can anyone help us deal with company holding a deposit on our behalf going out of bussiness ? The depoist was placed with Portsmouth Property Specialists Ltd estate agent who found the tenants. It turns out that the estate agent was also a director at Portsmouth Property Specialists Ltd. The first we knew this had occured is when we recieved an email from TDS Compliance <[email protected]>

This was the message they sent us :

The agent in question is Portsmouth Property Specialists Ltd.

We would advise that you contact the agent directly about this matter as they are holding the

deposit monies. They can advise yourself as to whether the deposit has been protected

elsewhere.

Needless to say Portsmouth Property Specialists Ltd do not respond having discontinued phone and webpages. A solicitor has been asked to help us but we are getting nowhere.

Any advice would be welcomed
