Hi, I am an accidental landlord with a small, tenanted grade 2 listed house that needs work done to increase its EPC rating. I have been offered roof insulation in the rafters of the loft – insulation of the loft floor is tricky because the tenants have a lot of stuff on the floorboards which would be a large job to move and the roof insulation can be done in a day while working around the tenants’ stuff according to the insulation company. there quote is cheaper than other options but still expensive. also, I am concerned about whether their method is a good idea or not: https://www.metropolitaninsulation.co.uk/domestic

Their quote says:
“Domestic Insulation: Supply and fit of low density LaPolla thermal insulation to roof. BBA approved and Fire Rated. Complying with all Building Regulations.
Manufacturers Warranty for 25 years. Moving customers belongings around to enable application. Sheet out and practice with PPE.”

And here is what Which say generally:

I have a meeting with the company to discuss it on Friday and they have provided testimonials which I have yet to speak to.

Would welcome comments from you very wise guys and gals 😊
