An existing Assured Shorthold Tenancy was created and has continued beyond the initial 6 months. The occupancy was in the name of th Tenant who had a partner who was granted occupancy as a Permitted Occupier. The permitted occupier has now vacated. The tenant now wishes the tenancy to continue which is acceptable, but without creating a new tenancy and a consequent 6 months tenancy. A form of an addendum is required for attaching to the existing tenancy. Can you advise on going forward?
