Hi,
We have a fight in the house where one of the tenant was high on Drug/ Alcohol. The police were involved and they access that it’s not suitable to leave the tenant in the house.

The tenant was evicted from the house on the grounds of Death threat, Harassment, Damaging the property and Drug/Alcohol misuse in the house. He have came and collected all his belongings.

We haven’t taken anything from his deposit.

Now the Homeless prevention Officer from the council has asked us to let the tenant return to the house & issue section 8 before he can be evicted. The tenant was on housing benefit.

I understand this, however where do we stand on terms of safety issues form the house? They don’t want to take responsibility of tenant’s further actions. And we cannot let the tenant in, as it might cost someone’s life.

Please advise.
