I am aware that once received deposits, they must be protected within 30 days. Is there any legal restriction on how far in advance deposits can be collected? I have properties in the student market where contract signing usually happens several months before the start of the tenancy so there can be quite a long time between the students deciding to take the properties and the tenancy starting.
