Hi there

Hoping you can offer some advice please -

We are in the process of buying a btl property from my parents which is currently vacant. The conveyancing process is expected to take 8 weeks +

Is it possible to take on a tenant prior to actually owning the property? (my parents are more than happy with this to save the property being empty)

Or would my parents need to take on a new tenant and then this agreement be transferred to ourselves?

The property is ready to go with all checks / certificates in place.

Any advice you could give would be very helpful!

Many thanks
