This is an odd issue to have perhaps! I have some tenants who are quite settled at the property. A year or two ago they requested to change the carpets (out of their own pocket). I said that's fine. They are now requesting to put in new kitchen units. I find this strange that they want to as they could end up out of pocket if I asked them to leave. I am inclined to refuse this request as I would feel I had to pay them back if they left. What are your thoughts? Does it change anything with regard to their tenancy agreement rights?
Thanks.
