I believe the landlord is obliged to carry out an electrical inspection every 5 years. Our certificate recommends a review in 3 years, whilst the last and every previous inspection found everything in order and there has been no change whatsoever ever since. It does not say that the certificate would become invalid after 3 years, it only recommends another inspection in 3 years. Does the 5-year requirement override this recommendation and we can legally use the certificate for 5 years, please?
