Come along to the next Cardiff Landlord Forum
As 2025 comes closer to an end, the NRLA encourages our members across Cardiff and the surrounding area to attend the final landlord forum of the year.
The bimonthly meet-up takes place on 26th November, at 6pm at County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff Bay.
The forum was set up more than 10 years ago by the Welsh Government to encourage interaction between landlords from the area.
Since then, it has become an essential fixture in the Welsh landlord calendar, providing a vital space for networking, knowledge-sharing, and staying informed about regulatory changes.
This event will be chaired by landlord, letting agent and NRLA board member Douglas Haig, as the issues facing the private rented sector in Wales are discussed and analysed.
“It has been a really busy and challenging time for landlords and this forum is a good opportunity us to get together and reflect on 2025,” says Douglas.
“This forum also gives us the chance to start talking about our plans for 2026 and how we can face the continued legislative challenges to create a stronger PRS in the next 12 months.”
Legislation
Key issues for discussion include:
- The Building and Safety Bill: Likely to come into law in 2027, understanding how changes will impact your rental business is crucial for staying compliant and maintaining standards.
- Renters' Rights Act: The Act will impact lettings in Wales, with some key differences to its impact in England.

These sessions are traditionally informal, encouraging honest discussion and practical problem-solving, with speakers to be announced in the coming weeks
