What will happen to existing tenancies once the Renters’ Rights Act is introduced is one of most common questions coming in to us ahead of the 1^st May deadline.

With the implementation date for the tenancy aspects of the Act now just weeks away we are hosting an exclusive members webinar to run through exactly what you need to know.

What is changing? Under the Act, fixed-term assured shorthold tenancies will be abolished and replaced with assured periodic tenancies.

This will happen automatically, but you must provide existing tenants with the Government’s recently published information sheet to their tenants by 31st May to inform them of the changes, something you can find out more about here.

This webinar will begin with a presentation outlining  the upcoming changes before looking more closely at:

• How the Renters’ Rights Act will impact existing tenancies
• What needs to be given to tenants and when
• What rules do and don’t affect existing tenancies
• Transitional rules for possession claims
• The potential penalties you may face for failing to comply.

This will be followed by a live question and answer session.
