Dates for your diary - Wales landlord forums

Sanjeev Shetty 22 April 2026

With the Senedd election to take place on 7th May, now’s a good time for landlords and agents to get together and understand the potential ramifications of a potential change in leadership. The Bridgend County Borough Council Landlord Forum will be held next Thursday, 30th April.

This will include a talk on common errors when attempting to repossess your property, with our Wales representative Gillian Owens, addressing the group on the implications of the Renters’ Rights Act.

While the majority of the changes coming in impact lettings in England only, new anti-discrimination rules  will also apply in Wales.

The event will run from 5pm-7pm at Bryncethin Community Centre in Bridgend.

The second event, the Torfaen County Council Landlord Forum will be held on 20th May, by which time we will know who has won the election, and have a much better idea of the political landscape in Wales.

The evening will include  discussions on the  election result and a presentation on Making Tax Digital, another key change for some landlords in 2026, with others set to be impacted in the years ahead.

The forum will run from 5.30pm-7.30pm at The Olive Tree in Croesyceiliog
