Countdown to Commencement: Renters' Rights webinar series extended

Our programme of free Renters' Rights Act webinars will continue during the countdown to the 1^st May commencement date  – with three more dates confirmed for February and March 2026. Our series of member-only webinars  covers everything you need to know about the new rules and how to stay compliant.

Thousands of you have already joined us for bespoke sessions on student lets, the PRS database and enforcement, with our next sessions on creating new tenancies, ending a periodic tenancy and discrimination, advertising and referencing.  

Creating a new tenancy - 18th February

From 1^st May, you'll need to provide a written statement of tenancy before any agreement is made. This session covers the new regulations affecting both new and existing tenancies, plus your evolving responsibilities as a landlord.

Our expert panel will guide you through the changes, with a live Q&A giving you the opportunity to ask the questions that matter to you.

Ending a periodic tenancy - 4th March

Section 21 notices will be abolished on 1^st May 2026, with periodic assured tenancies becoming the default in England. In certain circumstances, you will be able to end tenancies, through the grounds-based Section 8 procedure.

This webinar explains the grounds available to you  and how to use Section 8 notices correctly. Again, there will be the chance to ask questions of our panel of experts after the presentation.

Discrimination, advertising and referencing - 19th March

The Act prohibits practices that deter certain tenants from enquiring about tenancies, banning phrases such as  'no DSS' or 'young professionals only' from  advertisements.

With comprehensive referencing becoming more critical than ever, this session will explain how to select tenants fairly and legally while protecting your business.
