Safe Suffolk Training

Damp and Mould Awareness and Property Standards

Safe Suffolk Renters

An ambitious project looking to build new and better relationships between landlords, tenants, property managers and the Suffolk Councils. We want to understand the challenges and scope of our privately rented sector better and to do this we will be building relationships across the sector with voluntary, statutory, commercial and educational organisations. We want to help grow a better private rented sector for everyone. The project has been designed to: gather better data and information on Suffolk housing to inform our work: , work with landlords and property managers to build their knowledge and competency and become better landlords; support tenants to understand what to expect in a rented home and become better tenants; to identify and deal with rogue landlords so they leave Suffolk and to research the health and well-being benefits of improving living conditions for all. The funding has come from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) Pathfinder Programme. The award was made to the Suffolk-wide partnership of East Suffolk, Babergh, Mid Suffolk, West Suffolk and Ipswich Councils.
