Hi.

I let several properties and have never charged fees so didn’t think about it too much.

I am now looking for a flat to rent in London for my daughters who will both be working there soon.

I have looked at a few on Rightmove and notice that they are still saying that they will charge fees for tenancy set up (£180), referencing (£120 per tenant), inventory and check in amongst others. It’s not just the odd advert doing this but most of them.

Is this still legal (these are for flats advertised today)? If not, who do I report them to if they try and charge me these fees?

Many thanks in advance.

Joe
