General

These terms and conditions apply to anyone making a course or event booking (the ‘booker’) and/or anyone attending a course or event (the ‘delegate’). Please read this and the Privacy Notice carefully before booking. Once accepted, your application to attend a course constitutes a binding contract with LPTE Limited (part of the National Residential Landlords Association group ‘NRLA’) and is subject to these terms and conditions. Bookings must be made online and payment in full is required at the time of booking. References to the NRLA include any associated company providing the course on behalf of the NRLA.

We cannot guarantee that any course or event will take place at the stated date or time. Courses and events will only proceed if the minimum quota required to book and attend is reached. If reasonable substitutions cannot be made, we reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule a course at any time and accept no liability if the course cannot take place e.g. if the trainer or facility is unexpectedly not available. The course content and format may be varied from that advertised.

In the event of a course or event being cancelled, a refund of any fee will be made but no compensation will be paid for any additional costs/expenses incurred by the delegates. We also reserve the right to substitute the trainer without notice. The course content and format of any course or event may be varied from that advertised at the discretion of the NRLA.

Neither the delegate nor anyone else on their behalf may reproduce or use any course or event materials or documentation or use any such materials or documentation otherwise than for personal study purposes. Any use or reproduction, other than for these purposes, must only be with the written permission of the copyright holder. The delegate must act in an orderly manner and we reserve the right to exclude any person from the course if it has good reason.

We do not provide any specialist equipment, translators or signers; if sourced by you, such support may be brought to the course when this has been agreed in advance with us.

Where a delegate attends a course or event in order to gain a certificate or to comply with the requirements of any third party (e.g. the local housing authority as licensing authority), the delegate must arrive on time and attend for the entire duration of the course. Otherwise, we reserve the right to treat the delegate as a non-attendee and may notify the third parties involved accordingly. Where an assessment is included on the course attended, delegates will receive a link after the course has taken place and will have 30 days in which to complete it.

We will on occasion offer time-limited discounts and offers on courses and events. We reserve the right to withdraw a discount or offer at any time.

Classroom courses and in-person events

The delegate must comply with all the requirements of the venue where the course or event is to be held (including requirements relating to Health and Safety) and must comply with any requests made by the trainer or speaker. The delegate must act in an orderly manner and the NRLA reserves the right to exclude any person from the course or event if it has good reason.

The booker must confirm any dietary or access requirements at the time of booking so that appropriate arrangements can be made. We do not provide any specialist equipment, translators or signers; if sourced by you, such support may be brought to the course when this has been agreed in advance with the NRLA.

eClassroom courses

A recording of the course will be provided to delegates in attendance. On booking the course the delegates agree that any interaction made on the day will be recorded. The recording will be available for 30 days after the course. We reserve the right to retain the recording to be used for training purposes.
