I just found out my tennant who left has left, left a terrible infestation of carpet moth eggs in the carpet. Between the skirting boards and the carpet are multitudes of eggs.
Also 1 small bald spot in hall which just flaked away in my hands leaving a big patch.According to a survey its really quite extensive and been going on a for year! Carpet is mixed fibre with v small traces of wool in it.Its in every room, between the skirting board and when you pull upthe carpet edges these piles of eggs . Am Vv stressed. Its expensive yo repkace all the floor even the cheap ones but that was the recommendation as its infestastion going on for long time. I already y paud 120 pounds to get surface of carpet sprayed. But guy did not do edges and solution only touches the top.

What flooring would yany of you recommend? :(

An artificial carpet?
I read moths cant eat artificual fibres but still love to lay their eggs there and eat the dust dirt skin etc that collect daily. So buying an artificial fibre carpet wont stop this reoccuring, I may be paying for somthing twice, and Icant realistically enforce my tennats tohooover monthly where the skirting boards meet the carpet in every room .

Laminate tends to swell v easilly and the joints bust or veneeer just bubble off if mopped too wetly, something spilled on it or if tennants dont use heating appropriately causing too much moisture in the air
