I am a Member here for 5 years now and I have had 3 out of 5 times trouble obtaining my invoice and my membership card. This year it was the same yet again.Paid up on the 24th August by Direct Debit as every year and no membership card or invoice has arrived. After 4 weeks I thought I give Membership services a call and find that I should have had an email in my Gmail “ promotions” folder or my spam folder.
Well nothing. In 20 years of using Gmail I have never heard of a promotions folder and probably will never have one.
I checked on my gmail Webaccount and my gmail app etc etc and no email since the 22nd July informing me of the new Website going live and a it appeared that I got a new Membership number all in one email.

Has the Management Team at all thought this through that we do not get Membership cards anymore?
Why not simplify the membership and start everybody on the 1st April or 1st January and send out all Membership cards at the same time and get a discount on printing if they print thousands at the same time?
Also every other membership organisation like National Trust,RSPB,WETLAND trust have membership cards and print them on recyclable material.

How are we supposed to legitimise ourselves in front of third party organisations like Councils and other places if we don’t have a membership card. It is the easiest way.

I do not agree AND was never asked either not to have a membership card!
