I read recently that when an AST reaches its renewal date a landlord has three options;

To renew, let the tenancy become a contractual tenancy or a periodic tenancy.
My question is two fold. If it is left as a periodic tenancy does the landlord need to serve all the normal information such as Right to Rent, EPC, Electrical Safety Inspection etc etc.
If it reverts to a contractual tenancy, which needs to be a clause in the original tenancy, does the landlord then need to serve the same papers.
In all cases, (new tenancy, contractual or periodic ) does the deposit need to be re-deposited with the appropriate body that was already holding it?

Thank you.
