In pictures: NRLA on Tour Midlands

It was standing room only at the NRLA’s ‘On Tour’ event in the West Midlands last week.

NRLA Midlands representatives Sandra Towers, Teresa Kaczmarek, Joanne Dron, and Don Robbie hosted as an impressive line-up of speakers took to the stage.

The event got underway with an update from Karl Tidman, of NRLA partner 3mc NRLA Mortgages. Karl shared his thoughts and predictions around the buy-to-let market and current trends and interest rates.

Then, Linda Cobb OBE, Principal Manager at DASH Services gave an update on changes relating to the Decent Home Standard.

Linda has been a consistent member of the Government working party on the new Decent and Safe Home Standards.

After the break, delegates then heard from NRLA CEO Ben Beadle.

Ahead of the next stage in the progression of the Renters (Reform) Bill Ben gave an update on the NRLA's extensive campaigning to shape the Bill. In addition, Ben also shared developments relating to the NRLA's property safety certificate platform, Safe2.

Landlords can easily order and renew property safety certificates through Safe2, in just a few clicks.

It was then time for a lively question-time style session, with our panel including Ben Beadle, Linda Cobb OBE, Karl Tidman, and NRLA senior campaigns and public affairs officer Eleanor Bateman.
