Pets and Renters' Rights – the NRLA invites you to learn more
The NRLA is hosting two webinars in September as we prepare for the introduction of the new Renters' Rights Bill.
Pets in Rented Properties
Tuesday 17th September, 11am - 12pm
We're partnering with Inventory Hive to bring you this comprehensive session on how the forthcoming bill will affect the way landlords deal with requests for pets
A last minute amendment to the bill means landlords will be liable for costs when a tenant’s pet creates damage to the property.
This webinar has been designed for landlords, letting agents and tenants alike. Hosted by the NRLA's Omar Elimlahi, this session will provide expert guidance on best practices, legal considerations, and how to effectively manage expectations to prevent disputes.
Issue surrounding amendments to pet ownership in tenancies have been highlighted by the NRLA since the bill was originally published.
- The session will offer advice when it comes to fair pet policies - what is permitted and what is not
- Understanding tenant responsibilities when introducing pets into a property
- Assessing the impact of pets on property condition and implications for deposit deductions
- Resolving pet-related disputes during and at the end of tenancies\
There will also be a question and answer session.
