Your events diary for Wales
There are a number of regional meetings for landlords with properties in Wales being held throughout the coming weeks. Here are some dates for your diary.
Tuesday 29th September – Rhondda Cynon Taff Landlord Forum
The free meeting will be held at Pontypridd Rugby Club, with speakers including South Wales Fire & Rescue who will be talking about fire safety in rental properties, with the Mainty Group who will be looking at property maintenance. The meeting starts at 6pm, with plenty of time for discussions and networking. For more information click here.
Wednesday 7th October – South Wales Property Meet
The event will be held at the Coldra Court Hotel at 6.30pm for a 7pm start, with the agenda to include a regular update on local PRS issues, with a mortgage update from MS Lending. The main speaker, Craig Palfrey of Penguin Wealth, will be talking about wealth planning and inheritance tax for property investors. Tuesday 13th October – Cardiff Private Investor Network
The meeting will be held at Futures Inn Hotel in Cardiff Bay at 6.30pm for 7pm start. Hosted by Morgan Stewart & Liam Davies, the event will offer legislative updates, all the latest on market trends, mortgage and lettings updates, with the October meeting also featuring a talk on serviced accommodation – the realities. Thursday 15th October – Neath & Port Talbot Landlord Forum
Starting at 5pm the meeting will include a legislative update, a presentation from Red Kite Law on common errors they see when it comes to repossessions, with the NPT Waste Management Team also speaking. In additon there will be a marketplace of organisations offering services and support for landlords. Those of you who cannot attend in person will be able to dial in via Teams. Wednesday 21st October – Cardiff Landlord Forum
Hosted by NRLA non-executive director for Wales, Douglas Haig of Seraph Group, the event at County Hall in Cardiff will start at 6pm and will include an update on local and national issues impacting the PRS in the city. A full agenda will be confirmed closer to the time.
Thursday 22nd October – Wrexham Landlord Forum
Welsh licensing body Rent Smart Wales will be sharing best practice – and common landlord errors at the event, which will be held at the main university campus in Wrexham. The meeting, which starts at 6pm for a 6.30pm start, will also see the NRLA deliver a legislative update and speak on the future of the Welsh private rented sector. Tuesday 3rd November – Carmarthenshire Landlord Forum
The meeting, at Carmarthen Athletic RFC will see the NRLA deliver a legislative update and speak on the future of the Welsh private rented sector. There will also be an address from council leader responsible for housing and a presentation from Jennings Solicitors on taking possession the right way. The meeting starts at 6pm.
