New guidance published by the Government today will prevent chaos in the student housing market when the Renters’ Rights Act is implemented from 1st May.
Landlords of student HMOs are being given special dispensation to use a two month-notice period AFTER the Renters’ Rights Act is introduced, it has been revealed today. This will ensure properties are available for the new cohort of students starting this autumn, and reflects calls we made of Government ahead of the Act’s passage through Parliament.
