Course of the Month - Managing Property & Residential Lettings, Level 3 Certificate

Sanjeev Shetty 18 August 2026

One of our most popular qualifications has just been fully updated, and for the first time, successful learners can use post-nominal letters after their name.

The Managing Property & Residential Lettings, Level 3 Certificate has been updated  to reflect the changes brought about by the Renters' Rights Act, and is available to anyone working in the private rented sector (PRS), whether letting agents, property managers, PRS professionals or experienced landlords.

The course covers everything from health and safety and legal concepts through to lettings practice, legislative obligations, and ending tenancies, giving you a comprehensive grounding in running a compliant, professional lettings business.

The qualification also allows you to use the new post-nominal letters MNRLA after your name, helping to professionalise your business and demonstrate your commitment to high standards, both to landlords, tenants,  local authorities  who increasingly recognise NRLA accreditation.

To use and keep the designation, you'll need to remain an active NRLA member and complete 12 hours of CPD each year.

This course will help you to:

  • Develop and refine your understanding of the regulations, so you can run a more successful letting business in an evolving sector
  • Expand your knowledge and skills, and make sure you're following best practice
  • Understand the relevant law needed to successfully operate a lettings agency
  • Gain a recognised qualification that satisfies upcoming industry standards, ahead of the government's plans to introduce mandatory letting agent qualifications

What's covered?

The qualification is made up of five units, covering:

  • Health, Safety & Security in Lettings, understanding your legal duties, lone working risks, property security, and GDPR
