Joanne will be taking us through a whistle-stop tour of what is changing within the world of the landlord and what you should be keeping your eye out for in the coming 12 months.

Timothy Rickard - Station Manager Fire Protection Business Engagement - Essex Fire Service

Fire Safety, your Responsibilities

Station Manager Tim Rickard from Essex County Fire and Rescue Service will be discussing the legal responsibilities of the Responsible Persons relating to Fire Safety. He will also be discussing the upcoming Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, which come into force on the 23rd of January 2023.

Tim Rickard has been a firefighter for over fifteen years, currently, he works with Businesses across Essex to promote fire safety and ensure they are meeting their statutory duties.

Adrian Dube - Environmental Health office - Basildon Council

HMO Licensing: Advice and Guidance for Landlords

Officers from Basildon Council will explain what Houses in Multiple Occupation are, which requirements need to be met, and where you can get help to achieve them.

Amy Ayres - Private Rented Sector Team Leader - Basildon District Council

Property Solutions Scheme

Amy will be introducing landlords to Basildon Councils Property Solutions Scheme whereby landlords can work alongside Basildon Council to find suitable tenants for long-term lets within their properties

Parking - Pitsea Lesuire Centre - Park in The Range car park. Upon entering the leisure center please ensure you register your car at reception.
