As an incompetent computer user I find the idea of MTD daunting. I just watched a webinar fro HMRC basically trying to get everyone to sign up for the pilot scheme. It did not explain simply to me how it works. I would like to see examples of the type of input required. Also, if this is for landlords to input info on income/expenditure on rental property every few months, when would I also send them info on my personal income like pensions / savings interest as I do at present with online self assessment?
Is there free software available? HMRC does not offer any and only says that tax deduction can be claimed.
Can NRLA recommend any software? I really do feel quite naive when it comes to new things, but I would like to be able to complete returns myself rather than pay for an accountant. Please can you enlighten me on this subject?
