Hi everyone. We're in the process of buying an established HMO with x5 tenants in occupation, all on differently times ASTs. Please could someone advise what process we need to go through to get the ASTs transferred into our name. I spoke with our conveyancing solicitor and he advised that its not something he'd get involved in but suggested that the tenants should be given notice (at exchange) that we are to be the new owners/landlords and the ASTs would effectively be ours without having to change them into our names. I'm assuming that if we had to issue new ones in our names, potentially any of the tenants could consider it a loop hole to refuse to sign and perhaps leave early. I'd be grateful for any guidance on this. Many thanks
