I have taken over management of an existing tenancy.
The tenant has asked for a new tenancy agreement and has provided her current agreement for information.
It is apparently a deed prepared by a solicitor and not an AST.
Also it mentions that a deposit has been paid but nothing about where the deposit is lodged.
The tenant says she never paid a deposit.

My question is

Is there any contra indication for me providing an AST?

Should I obtain confirmation from the solicitor who originally drew up the deed that no deposit was paid?
