Property was vacant for 5-6 weeks before tenants moved in. 10 weeks after moving in they've advised of a moth problem.

Given the life cycle of moths and the property being vacant (except for one chair, removed 8 weeks ago), it doesn't seem possible that the moths were there before they moved in. Inspection report didn't note any moth activity and the previous tenant didn't advise of any issues.

Has anyone had any experience of this? I'd love to know what treatment's were used. Whilst I'm sympathetic to the tenant's dilemma, I also feel like they may have brought them into the property or it's happened since moving in. And I'd suggest they need to wash all fabrics etc to combat the problem.
