Research Webinar - April 2021

In April 2021 the Research Observatory hosted an online webinar reviewing recent research projects as well as previewing activities scheduled for the rest of the year.

Trends in landlord confidence were presented - the growth in confidence outside London being the main topic of discussion.

Key topics from our recent quarterly landlord survey programme feature in the presentation. EIC reports, energy efficiency and Universal Credit are all to the fore. Our work with the Tenancy Deposit Scheme looking at the Green Homes Grant was also presented.

Other topics included rent controls in London and our recent work in Wales - Rent Smart Wales and the Welsh Enforcement Index.

Finally the presentation looked forward - in the pipeline at the time of the webiner were projects including a tenant survey, as well as a collaboration with the London School of Economics. Of course the next quarterly landlord survey was also previewed!
