On 8 July 2020, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced a £2 billion Green Home Grants Scheme to upgrade homes including the private rented sector across England. Homeowners including landlords in England can apply for a voucher towards the cost of installing energy efficient and low-carbon heating improvements to their homes.
