Call of the Week: Gas safety certificates

We recently helped one of our members who had a question about renewing a gas safety certificate and doing this early.

The gas safety certificate at our landlords’ rental property is due to run out in the middle of December. They wanted to know if they could renew it next week, the week commencing 27^th September, or whether this would be too early.

Landlords of rented residential accommodation must have an annual gas safety check carried out on gas appliances which they provide (and all related gas flues).
