Your Wales events and training guide for April

Welcome to your training and events guide for April. In addition to our new eClassroom course helping landlords in Wales prepare for forthcoming legislation change, we’re excited to tell you about some upcoming events.

eClassroom and eLearning courses

Our eClassroom courses are live, remote courses delivered via video by our expert trainers.

We have a range of courses specifically for landlords with rental properties in Wales.

Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016

The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, set to come into force on 15th July, will result in many of the rules around renting changing in Wales. To help landlords prepare for the new legislation, the NRLA has worked closely with Rent Smart Wales to develop a new eClassroom and face to face classroom course which is mandatory for licence renewal and fully approved by Rent Smart Wales. The course must be completed prior to the implementation of the act on the 15th July. The first date is Tuesday 26th April. Read more and book your place here.

Rent Smart Wales eLearning courses

All landlords and agents must hold a licence issued by Rent Smart Wales, and the NRLA is an official and approved training provider to deliver this course, which forms part of the licence application. There are two courses, one suitable for landlords and another suitable for letting agents. Click below to sign up.

Bristol Landlords Expo: Tuesday 17th May

We recognise that those who own rental properties in Wales do not always live in Wales therefore the Wales team at the NRLA will be alongside colleagues exhibiting a stall at the Bristol Landlords Expo at the Ashton Gate Stadium on 17 May 2022. Our Operations Manager for Wales, Steven Bletsoe, will be in attendance with our Regional Representatives for Wales to ensure that those who may live outside Wales have access to our Wales team and keep up to date with the impending legislation. If you are due to attend, be sure to come an say hi to our team at the NRLA stand for a chat. Read more about this event here.
