NRLA & Less Tax 4 Landlords Webinar | Saving Tax: Should you restructure your business in 2021?
14/07/2021 | 1pm-2pm
Was this year your biggest ever payment to HMRC?
For many landlords this will have been the case – but not because they have earned more money.
Instead, this is driven by two crushing factors:
- Section 24 is pushing up landlord tax bills
- Delayed 2020 tax payments have become due
Unfortunately, it’s all but too late for tax-payments in 2021, but it’s never too late to become more tax efficient in general.
On this live online seminar, co-founders of Less Tax 4 Landlords Malcolm Rose and Chris Bailey will also show us why doing nothing could see your tax bills rise again in 2022 and why 2021 could be a very good year to restructure your business.
On the webinar, Chris – a Chartered Accountant and landlord - will focus on one of the four main business options for landlords in the PRS: Mixed Partnerships.
An alternative to selling your property to your own limited company, we’ll see how they work, who they are for (and not for), how they compare to the other options, and when it could be the best decision for your business.
It is recommended that you attend this webinar if:
- You own rental property in your own name(s) and are paying higher rates of tax on property income
- You are forecasting a Section 24 tax problem either now or soon
- You simply want to understand more about the options available to professional landlords and successful property investors.
Please send your questions to [email protected] by 9am Wednesday 7th July 2021.
NRLA Webinar | Right to Rent with NRLA Legal Counsel David Smith
21/07/2021 | 1pm-2pm
As the UK moves towards a new relationship with Europe the right to rent is changing.
This will require landlords to revise their processes and think about how they deal with EU nationals with and without settled status in the UK. This webinar will review the changes and suggest ways in which landlords can revise their processes to comply with the law.
Please send your questions to [email protected] by 9am Wednesday 14th July 2021.
You will earn 1 CPD point for watching this webinar.
NRLA & LOFT Webinar | Maximising Yields, Minimising Voids and Improving the tenant experience
28/07/2021 | 1pm-2pm
The decision to furnish your investment is always an important question to ask yourself, however, there are a few other questions to consider.
How to furnish it? What furniture should I use? Should I pick a design trend? Should I accessorise the property? How do I replace individual pieces of furniture? What happens if a tenant needs a piece of furniture within a short period of time?
All the above can impact the final let price, how long the property could be empty for and also how long your tenant will stay for.
Please send your questions to [email protected] by 9am Wednesday 21st July 2021.
You will earn 1 CPD point for watching this webinar.

Break out rooms to include:
Jospeh Carbonaro from GetGround - specialising in setting up, structuring and running UK Limited companies to help clients looking to purchase UK investment properties.
Nick Hodgetts from Glixtone – Damp and Condensation may well have increased with the working from home months but what can you do to protect against black mould? Glixtone has the answer – and we love it! Known as ‘the paint that actually works’; Glixtone paints are used by many landlords, forming part of their refurbishing protocol to reduce the risk of solving mould and blackspot problem areas.
Paul Shamplina of Landlord Action– We’ve focused on eviction and possession regularly in the last year but what can you do about recovering rent arrears? Landlord Action is one of the specialists which can guide you in this.
