Your Wales events and training update: June & July

Welcome to your training and events guide for June. In addition to our new eClassroom course helping landlords in Wales prepare for forthcoming legislation change, we’re excited to tell you about some upcoming events.

eClassroom and eLearning courses

Our eClassroom courses are live, remote courses delivered via video by our expert trainers.

We have a range of courses specifically for landlords with rental properties in Wales.

Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016

The Welsh Government announced several weeks ago that the introduction of the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 is going to be pushed back, to 1st December 2022.

The new legislation, which will see big changes for private landlords in Wales, had been due to be introduced this July.

Despite this, the NRLA is continuing to run courses on the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, to help all private landlords with properties in Wales prepare.

The NRLA has worked closely with Rent Smart Wales to develop a new eClassroom and face to face classroom course which is mandatory for licence renewal and fully approved by Rent Smart Wales. The course must be completed prior to the implementation of the act. The course is £100 for NRLA members and £120 for non-members. Read more and book your place here.

Rent Smart Wales eLearning courses

All landlords and agents must hold a licence issued by Rent Smart Wales, and the NRLA is an official and approved training provider to deliver this course, which forms part of the licence application. There are two courses, one suitable for landlords and another suitable for letting agents. Click below to sign up.
