NRLA Landlord Conference 2023: A month to go

Tickets are selling fast for the NRLA’s national Landlord Conference, which gets underway in Birmingham in a month’s time.

Housing Secretary Michael Gove MP will directly address delegates as he takes to the stage as the keynote speaker at the conference, which will be hosted by award-winning journalist and newsreader, Clive Myrie.

The event takes place on 24th October 2023, and will see 650+ landlords visit the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, to hear from excellent line-up of lauded industry speakers.

We'll be discussing the main challenges of rental reforms and a legal question time with industry specialists on housing law updates landlords must know about.

With high buy-to-let mortgage interest rates, and research showing no let-up in the demand for private homes to rent, we've gathered leading industry experts to examine trends in the sector, investment and property financing strategies, and buying at auction.

Our excellent line-up of speakers includes Martin Roberts, TV presenter and property investor; Kate Faulkner, OBE, Designs on Property; Doug Hall, NRLA Mortgages; Richard Donnell, of Zoopla; Lucian Cook, Savills Head of UK Residential Research; and more.

There will also be lively panel debates. In the morning, we'll get to the heart of the important issues that matter to you as a landlord.

Our expert landlord panel includes Mairead Carroll; Associate Director RICS; Eddie Hooker, Hamilton Fraser Insurance; Kristjan Byfield, Co-founder of the Depositary; and Ben Beadle, NRLA Chief Executive.

They’ll be discussing landlords' concerns and priorities and there will also be the chance for you to ask questions to the panel live.

Later in the afternoon, we'll be joined by some of our partners, for a second panel discussion, summarising the takeaways from the day and looking at the road ahead.

Moubin Faizullah-Khan, Getground; Sue Coulson, Capital Letters; and Paul Shamplina, Landlord Action, will all take to the stage to share their thoughts.

As well as taking in excellent presentations, delegates will be able to browse our exhibition hall, which will be a friendly and relaxed environment to network and chat with other landlords, and speak to suppliers, including our main sponsor, Total Landlord, about the various products, tools, and services in the market to make your life easier.

There will also be demonstrations of Portfolio, the NRLA’s new state-of-the-art property management tool, designed by landlords and for landlords, free for NRLA members.

Last year’s NRLA conference recently won silver at the Conference and Events Awards 2023, for Best Association Event.
