We rented out one of our properties in December on a 6 month AST.   The couple that signed the tenancy and are both named tenants on the agreement have split up, the female tenant however has moved her boyfriend in as asked for her husband to be removed from the agreement.   This has gone back to the letting company for checks etc and is all going through.    However, in the meantime, with all the rain we have had the roof leaked and made the walls wet in both bedrooms (gable end).  We are in the process of having the roof done and the chimney removed and been told this will take a while to dry out once finished.  The tenant is now saying that it's not fair that she's pay full rent and wants compensating as the house is now full of mould and her bedding etc has had to be binned.   As the new tenancy agreement has not yet been signed, I am thinking it is probably best for her to move out whe she can find alternative accommodation as I don't want her living like this.   Can I do this ?
