Renewal of Right to Rent checks

HI Everyone,

Regarding a landlords Right To Rent obligations, on one of our properties both the husband and wife’s Right To Rent  status will expire 31 May 2024 (they both hold Nigerian passports)

After chasing for an update on what’s happening with their Right to Rent status we have been told the following:

‘We will renew our visa in May and send you the share code’

As I would have thought it needs to be done prior to any expiration date and to make sure we stay within our landlord obligations, can you confirm

1. Would we need to wait to get the new share code from them?

2. What is the actual procedure that a person needs to do in order to renew their right to rent status if different from what has been stated by the tenants.
