Do i chase the tenant or the guarantor

My tenant owes a months rent from the 5th May and now also a months rent from the 5th June. I would like to issue a county court claim for the outstanding rent and assume it should be to the guarantor rather than the tenant and would ask if you can advise ?.

Can you also clarify if a section 8 can be issued at this point for re-possesion based on these rent arrears ?.
