Sending tenant a new EICR

Just had a 5 yearly EICR done and sent it to my tenant via WhatsApp stating if they want a hard copy then ask and I'll send it. Seems reasonable to me!

However are all such documents (EICR, GSC etc) required to be sent as paper recorded delivery etc? My AST is quite old and does not allow notices to be sent by email. But are EICR and GSC "notices" legally?

Should I have sent EICR and GSC etc by post?
