Hi, I have been a landlord for around 15 years now, but have until now gone through an agent.  But my last tenant was a nightmare and I dont feel I got the support from the agents when there were issues - a lot of it I sorted out myself!  I have a new tenant ready to move in in about a month and I am going to manage it myself.

My question is regarding the tenancy agreement - what benefits if any would I get from paying a solicitor or estate agent to draw up a tenancy agreement rather than use the model one on this website?  As its my first time doing this alone, I have concerns over doing this important part of the process myself - would an agreement through a solicitor/estate agent be more legally binding?

Many thanks in advance

Sarah
