Hi All,

I was arranging my next electrical inspection earlier and the electrician mentioned that I will need to install mains powered smoke detectors on each floor due to a recent change in ligislation. The property is not a HMO just a private let to a family.

I've checked the posts on NRLA and my local ( Cornwall) council guideance and cant find anything saying this is a must. Whilst I do want the highest level of safety for my tennants I wanted to check my legal obligations first.

Any advice / guideance greatly received.

Regards

Paul
