I have a very difficult tenant who has promised to fight my attempts to evict her. I served a section 21, which she ignored so I then submiited my documents to the County Court for an Accelerated Possession. They were deemed served on 20/3/24. The documents state she had 14 days to defend my claim. I have not heard anything. I have submitted the cut off section at the bottom of the form they gave me, requesting the Possession order. I phoned the Court to check they had it and they said they had, and I would be told when the Judge has set a date for the hearing.

Can I assume the tenant has not put in a defence and breathe a sigh of relief or is it possible she has filed a defence but the Court has not told me?
