I had to replace my roof due to age and also damage from a cowboy roofer. Is the cost of the roof put as Revenue Expense or Capital Expense.  I assume revenue expense as it is a like for like replacement.   Secondly, if revenue exp, how many years can I claim back (this occurred in the previous tax year))?
