Hi there, I've recently had to get a drainage company out to inspect the drains in my flat as the tenants complained that the kitchen sink, dishwasher, washing machine and adjoining bathroom sink were blocked.

(This is the third time in 4 years.)

Again it was found to be confined to my flat, and the engineer's report concluded that food had been put down the kitchen sink, causing the blockage.

The bill is £342 (two callouts - one at 11pm as water was cascading down to a flat below from my property, and one the next day as the engineer failed to clear the blockage on the first visit, so had to go back).

Who pays? Property is in Scotland

I paid on blockage 1 as a goodwill gesture

I paid half on blockage 2 as a goodwill gesture.

Now this is blockage 3, and an expensive one, I am reluctant to pay. Thanks for reading
