Hi there,

I have 5 tenants on a joint tenancy which finishes on 30th June 09.

3 of them are living at the property and have paid rent in full. 1 is in arrears with rent but is trying to pay bit by bit. 1 tenant is withholding rent and refusing to pay (fallen out with her housemates and moved out). She owes £900.00 in rent.

We want to take the last tenant to court for the amount oweing if she doesn't pay by end of tenancy. Do we have to take all 5 tenants to court as they are on a joint contract or do we just the one who hasn't paid her share?
