Scenario:= Due to cold weather a bust pipe occurs in the kitchen Bank Holiday Monday Jan 3rd - I am away but tenant calls my maintenance man at 9am to report leak - no reply but leaves a message. My man calls back at 9.45am - tenant tells my man that it was an emergency and called a plumber who is there already. My man says don't let him destroy kitchen to get to leak he will come. No it is sorted she says.
Question
Tenant now wants me to pay exorbitant triple time call out fee to her plumber as she was too impatient to wait for my man to attend.
Do I have to pay??
