Hi, I signed two tenants up a couple of weeks ago for a 2-bed student house for next Acedemic year (2010-2011) & took £250 deposit from each of them. Now one of them has told me that she has to pull out of university due to ill health & the other girl cannot find anybody else to share with her. Do I need to repay these deposits? I have already stopped advertising the house, so will obviously have to pay for new adverts etc & incur more costs in going round to show potential tenants around the house.
