S 21 Notice

I have served the S21 Notice to my tenant by post but unfortunately I have put a wrong date on it. I realised the mistake and I served another one the next day with the correct date.
The tenant said the first S21 Notice was invalid because the date was wrong. He said that he has never received the second one with the correct date.
Will the judge believe him if it goes to court?
Is it still valid if you serve two notices on two different dates?
